It''s the Xenos season again

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

It''s the Xenos season again

Alright, where is the best system to hunt Xenos? Is it the Colorado system? Near the Ouray base or at the Kepler system?

If I kill alot of em, will it hurt other faction's feelings? It does say Xenos dont have any allies.

Also, are there any limits to how many weapons I can store? I found alot of wreckage and the guns I got from those wreckages are inside my ship.

I do know that killing Xenos will hurt your rep with Zoners. Check the sticky on the rep checks and balances for an explanation.

I usually kill them near the Ouray base and mine while I'm waiting for them to respawn...helps pass the time.

Don't know about the guns though, but I do think they take up some cargo space.

Killing Xenos makes the Zoners, Bundschuh and Gians go red.

No, guns do not take up cargo space. At least thats my expirience, I ahd all of the Codename weaps (they come in pairs), all lvl 9 weaps and 4x Nomad Cannons AND 4x Nomad Blasters, along with some turrets...(yes, I'm done)
Someone please prove me wrong... I hate being right all the time.

Nope, sorry. You're right again.
I keep all my special guns in storage while I cruise around in a freighter in case I want my Sabre back and there's still 275 cargo space available.

Post Fri May 09, 2003 9:10 pm

To be honest, I never really paid attention, but I do remember having a sliver of my cargo being used when I didn't have any "cargo". I think maybe it was ammo for weaps I didn't have that was taking up the space maybe, and not unused weapons. Or it could be I was totally spacing and did have cargo.

I've had that little sliver as well...looking like I had cargo when I really didn't, and I attributed its existence to the same thing: either ammo or extra weapons in my hold. However, when I decided to fill my hold with diamonds, it still gave me all my slots, so I guess the sliver is either just a glitch or there for looks.

Hehe.. I had a starflier and went on a wreck-collecting spree. In the end i got fifteen different turrets, guns, missiles and mines

That's how I make money in the game nowadays just go on a rampage in my Sabre collecting all the weapons the other ships drop then take them to the nearest base and sell 'em. In my experience it doesn't take any cargo space and is almost as profitable as trading.

Most strangly when you have the Nomad torpedo launchers they take up 50 cargo space each if they are dismounted!

Of couse you're not meant to get these normally

Heh, if you look at the manual, on the page that tells you about outfitters, you see that the Justice MK II laser had a 'Cargo space per unit' value of 2...

Good that thing was left out.

Killing Xenos makes the Zoners, Bundschuh and Gians go red.

Gaians dislike Xenos much like anyone. Bundschuh has sympathy, but
they are only important if you want a Stiletto HF or a Sunslayer Torp.

Zoners are the only big concern, but easy to fix with bribe ($70k-$80k)
without effecting any other faction rep. Just gotta catch it before RED.

After SP storyline I found myself neutral with Xenos & docked at Ouray.
They wouldn't talk to me, but after reading their news I decided that
people are RIGHT for hating the Xenos, the reason for their terrorism
is just stupid. Undocked & started blowing them up.

Bundschuh only go down because killing xenos makes you more frieldy with everyone else (Including the bundschuh's enemies) so it goes down, they dont have sympathy for them...

Sorry, but this isn't true. Personal experience followed by research.
