FL and SL (Continuity problems)
People have argued endlessly over the connection between Freelancer and Starlancer. "How is it the the FL people don't have all the neat gadgets that they have in SL."
About most of the technology...
Let's say that the sleepers left after the fall of Alliance HQ in the game and before it is retaken?
( If this is true, the alliance in SL can still win... for a time.) Then a resurgance of the Coalition or something... (I'm not real clear on the ending of SL)
The events of the old intro are still valid.... the second wave goes to pluto and BOOM.
Also... NO:
Fighter jump drives
really neato ships
cloak
...in Sirius
About the cap ships and shields....
Shields
- maybe weapons developed in Sirius rendered the the shields in SL ineffective, thus resulting in new types of shields being developed
