Easy answer: YES !!!

There is alot of trianers/cheats in this game, and thy arent hard to use. Except some servers. But please, please, please.. Dont use them.

They have always made games less fun then they have been, and made superb games look like scrap. (I know u wrote "I wont use them"

I've used a cash trainer(only 4 cash, NOT 4 shields etc...) once, but that was because i had started over for the 17th time i guess, but i knew were to go what do do, so i hope and think that it is not such a problem....What really disturbs me is that newbies come in New York starting with lvl38 and they don't know what to do and were the hell they have to... also they die all the time and later on they are asking someone in omicron or tau systems if they can help, i mean for someone like me and many others who have gone far in some servers and then have to start all over again and again and again, i don't think that a cash trainer isn,t a problem....
For those who dont know the game or what it is about, please don't use them, learn how to play the game and learn what it is all about....

I've not played MP YET... but I plan to when I finishe the SP storyline. I know for sure there is at least 1 trainer for SP. I bought the game at the same time as my friend, he used a trainer and I didn't. He is finished the SP storyline and I'm still playing. I like to think I'm getting more enjoyment out of my purchase then he did. But, back to the mains subject. The trainer he used had a "lock" for shields, energy, money and one other thing I can't remember. Basically, when you fire your weapons or whatever, the energy only blips down a tiny bit and is immediately back to full. Same with shields. This effectively makes you allways full shields and energy even in a fight with waves of fighters and battleships. As for the money part... I don't know how that part worked EXACTLY... but I'm assuming you could lock your money at it's current level and buy stuff.. then unlock it and sell it back. My friend had something like 115 million credits (not exagerating, I saw his screen).

I have sins with using Trainers (cheats) both in SP and MP. But, like the other guy who said this, I used it for the money option and nothing else. I never use it anymore, but hey, I was a newbie and I was stupid. There are enough A&%holes out there who use them, so that leaves veterans like us doing things over and over again when they SWOOSH! are done!

ello gents, I was wondering if you could answer me a couple of questions please...

I'm an SP Vet, been there, done that, got the sabre t-shirt and the titan keyring etc....but I'm new to MP (because my current connection is really poor, due for an upgrade in about 4 weeks)....anyway...I've been trying to build up a character on a couple of different servers and its frustrating to say the least. I have no problems with the missions etc, but more often than not as soon as I leave manhattan some 14 year old sh*t kills me. So the thought of a possible speedy upgrade is really quite appealling. So my questions stand as follows:

1. What is a trainer?
2. Will it affect my SP game?
3. Is there any way to stop 14 year old sh*ts from blowing the crap out of my defender with their titans? Its particularly irritating, especially when its obvious they have no idea what they are doing. I want to get into MP because of PvP, but if I can't complete a bog-standard mission because of some little tike how can I possibly do that?

If this is effectively a cheat then I don't want to know....the last thing I want to do is p*ss off a server admin....but can anyone answer me these questions?

1: is a utility that changes the game in the memory so difficult to spot, so you only spot it when you run into a *rick using a uber hull/unlimited energy/bats/bots etc. Sometime's they do lag the server as well.
2: It wont, but if you have to cheat to finish single player then why are you playing th game?

@pinger thanks for the info. a cheat's a cheat though so forget it. I certainly don't need a cheat to beat the SP by the way, I'm on lvl38 for the 9th time...I only asked because I don't want anything to affect my saved games...!

like the idea of putting a bounty on their heads, although one server I was on (Alpha Centauri 2) had about 10 of the idiots, so maybe the answer is to find a better server!

Actually, the Alpha centauri 2 server is one of the best server online. Why? because there is an active Admin. This admin has given permission to 3 people (POLICE-THE01, POLICE-MOOF, POLICE-Tate) to act in his name.

There is also the TE organisation that helps people that are un warrently attacked by other people. If you can't contact a POLICE member, contact a TE member and you can bet your sweet Patriot on it that they'll come to whereever you are and make sure that the people that are giving you trouble will go away.

I'm also one of the TE (The Elite), so if you have a problem, message me (TE-2LT-Entropy or Entropy) and i'll bring along the artillery to make sure your gaming experiece won't get troubled by other people. And that is a promise! Count on it!
