That's not even close to best trade, but owns yours. Yours would be good for somebody with low cash funds though.

Sorry I don't have much detail on the run, all I know is that it's a criminal only run, I'm friendly with all criminal factions so I have no problems getting past the Hessians, or the Corsairs.. minefield is the fun part... -.-

dont fly to rochester, take this route instead:

alien artifacts from cadiz base (omega-5) to new london.
buy for 135.
sell for 1147.
profit: 1012

then from new london take light arms back to cadiz base.
buy for 350.
sell for 840.
profit: 490

overall profit: 1502
appr. time: 14 minutes.

that adds up to roughly 107 credits per minute and cargo unit (the most efficient traderoute in multiplayer so far), or in a dromedary with 275 cargo units: 413,050 credits per run (and thus per 14 minutes).

I forgot to add you can also sell the light arms at Ronneburg base (omega-5) instead of cadiz if you are friendly the hessians too for an extra $200 per cargo unit.

Note that also I just remembered that if you are allied with criminals well enough like I am, new london people won't let you dock, so that's why I picked Rochester, that and 'cause Rochester has better profit per trip (I think about $600 per cargo unit..) yet more time consuming.

I use several trade routes that take you round the galaxy and back, probably shouldn't do some of them unless your neutral with as many people as possible (good for a trader )

Lux Consumer Goods: Planet Manhatten: $180 > Planet Cambridge: $810

Gold: Battleship Hood (Dublin): $300 (or so) > Alster Shipyard (Hamburg): $1,275

Diamonds: Bautzen base (Dresden): $300 (or so) > Planet New Tokyo: $1,600 (or so)

If you manage to get neutral status with most criminals, this is probably a good route after the above:

Engine Components: Planet New Tokyo: $225 > Mactan Base (Magellan): $1,500

Cardamine: Mactan base: $810 > Planet Manhatten: $1,500

Light Arms: Detroit Munitions: $140 > Planet Malta (Outcasts) $1,400

If your feel like doing a long boring run, take Niobium from Falkland Station to the Ring in New Berlin

Like sp00n said, this is spoiler stuff. There have been plenty of good trade-route threads in Spoiler. Without giving too much away, the most-profitable runs in the game make $1,900 profit per unit; see my "FL Commodities" spreadsheet in Downloads if you want. Profit/time, however -- the FASTEST way to make money, as opposed to simply the most profit in a single run -- is a much more complex issue. The best roundtrips known so far are 3.4M/hour in a Dromedary (200 per cargo minute) in SP, and half that in MP (1.7 M/hr; 100/cargo minute). See e.g. "Thanx for BEST trade route! i forgot the prices and profit but:
Luxury Consumer Goods (Manhattan) to Ainu Depot is about 1200 profit...

Leeds, Buy Optronics Expensive I know but fly to planet Cambridge. To cash in at about 400+ a unit.
Cambridge load up on diamonds and fly back to Leeds. Another 400+ a unit.
Rinse, Lather, repeat till filthy rich.

Trade lane is about eight jumps long, plus you get all the Mollys, Gaians, Junkers,Outcasts, and Corsairs you can eat. A fine fringe bennie is you get to load yourself up with all the good pirate weapons\turrets.

We need guns[[! Big Guns[[![[! Big Freaking GUNS[[![[![[!

My favorite trade route is engine components from New Berlin ($255) to Freeport 4 ($1375), which is fairly quick. In my Titan, which has 70 cargo and the best guns, I'm a moneymaking machine.($1340 a unit) But then again, why would you have a trade route when you can get it all free pirating the lanes?

i have a humpback(man it drives like a bus planets turn faster than that does)with a cargo of 250 i go from planet new london with luxury foods to planet matahatton and get 350,000 this is a good trade route for level 15-25 becasuse with the hold that i have make it so that even if i lose 10-15 units i still get massive amount of money for it most of the time i go down into new berlin and buy top of the line stuff but latly i been thinking of getting 2,000,000 and getting a eagle loading it up becomeing a pirate and buy a titan and load that up and libeing off of cargo raids

I trade cardamine from Rochester base in New York and sell it at Mactan Base in Magellan :b
