Has anyone come up with a Lvl 10 LF ship yet?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

I'd like to download a ship file to use instead of the VHF's that littler the galaxies.
Geez, they are soooo slow.

I mentioned that we need them before and got mega-flamed. But I agree, lvl 10 light fighter that can carry 2 class 10 wepons, 2 class 9 wepons, and mabey a turret. the eagle is way too slow for me.

If I had a nickel for every time someone told me that my idea of building a giant robotic parrot out of melted down coins was a bad idea, I would have one kick a$$ giant robotic parrot.

id rather have a LF that can carry 3 c10 guns and kick the arse of a VHF loaded with 6 guns

I think 3 would be a little mutch, you can kick the arse of a VHF with kust 2 10's and 2 9's easily. they wouldn't be able to avoid getting hit or come close to targeting you.

yeah.. some light fighters are well design such as the dagger.. but pity its very weakly armed.. Does maximum weapon class means maximum sheild class?

argh.. im never gonna get paid.. goodbye a million credits..

That seems to be a rule in how ships are designed, that the maximum weapon class a ship can use is also the maximum shield class it can use. Each ship has a different internal power source, too; you need more juice for the guns as you go up in class, but with Nomad guns the available power is not an issue, of course.

Without some real-life experimenting, it might be difficult to decide what would create a balanced c10 LF that would be a more-or-less equal match for VHFs, without having a total advantage over them due to the LF's superior handling.

I think that the maximum class anything should be that isnt a VHF should be 8 or 9. A level 9 Banshee as opposed to 7 could do some significant damage, hell, I'd settle for lvl 8. The only reason I use the Valkyrie instead of the banshee was because the Banshee cant compete, though I may switch back.

Yeah, but now you can't even shoot at an Eagle in your Valk... (With ACE anyway.) So I guess I'd rather be able to hit a guy, but I might try a Valk tonight.

Just for kicks I modded the Dagger LF with Class 9/10 guns, ability to carry a torpedo instead of just a Cruise Disruptor, and the power capacity between a Stilletto and a Saber.

I've also increased the shield limit to Class 7, but it can easily be changed to Class 10 (I just limited it to 7 to keep things interesting).

It works best with Skyblast B's. Class 10 weapons just seem so slow....

Very fun ship.

A few things that don't work in MP (unless the server has the same modded files): Armor increase and bot/battery increase.

Armor will start out with whatever it's been pumped up to (let's say 3600), but any damage will reduce it down to standard (1800) and the bots won't repair it beyond that. A repair at a base will pump it back up to 3600, but it's useless because and damage, even minor, will immediately drop it down to 1800 or less. So, I just keep the armor level the same.

Batteries/Bots. Normally 13, let's say I increase it to 30. I can purchase up to 30 at the bases, but I can't tracktor in beyond 13. In fact, the tractor beam locks on the extra bots and batteries but never pulls them in, and I can't cancel the tracktor beam. I have to fly beyond 1400 meters to "break" the beam contact. So, I just keep the bot/battery max the same - 13.

A light fighter with ONE class 10 mount, CD, and 3 class 9's would be fine, IMHO...if you modded the speeds to make it a little more mobile.

I modded the Nomad fighter into a class 10 light fighter that you can buy on Planet Gammu.

There is information in the mod forum about making the Nomad LF something you can fly, and it's kind of cool -- although a "true" Nomad ship has no shields, and that really sucks.
