why have four Nomad energy blasters when you can have four Nomad energy cannons

they make quick work of shields and the hull

Nomad Cannons only have a little bit more damage output than Nomad Blasters, and some prefer the refire rate synchronization with Sal II and TDC guns, or just prefer faster refire regardless of the sync.
