To answer you question, if the rouges are hostile twards you then if you are helping them or not they will attack. In fact, they will most likely ignore the hunters and consentrate on you. If you are asking for a good way to get good with the rouges... when you leave manhatten from the docking ring, follow the right side of the right most trade lane. you will find a 3 storage things floating there. shoot the one that belongs to the police (middle one i think) UNTILL IT EXPLOADS!!! (there is no life bar but the containers will pop eventually). then get out of there because the police will be kind of pissed and dock somewhere not owned by the police (like the missuri). when you undock, the police should have cooled down enough to not shoot you on site and if the rouges arn't nutral with you by then, do it again untill they are. I wouldn't kill Bounty Hunters if I where you, they are located in almose every system.

When i had faction dispositions i just read who their enemy was and then I went and wasted them. In my single player file i decided to waste the bounty hunters (not a very good choice!!) but after I killed about 100 bh ships I was neutral WITH EVERYONE except the bounty hunters. I say just waste their enemies. It's more fun and you can level up and get stuff.

GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!! I just finished Mission 4 and the Lane Hackers are Neutral. But when I go back to Magellan, join a patrol, they don't fire on me. But if i try to go to Mactan, they attack. WTF!!! I didn't fire on them or anything, they just open fire. What am I doing wrong?

how can i ge good with the outcast and the Corsairs i have tryed the bribe list does not work if go to the base where the bribe to make the friendly that bribe is not there i haved dock and redock many time doest not work HELP Me i wnat dock planet malta and Corsairs planet in there system.

Instead of docking and redocking, which takes forever. save the game and reload. mutch faster.

The factions don't make too much sense when you're playing the single-player campaign, so I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you. The single-player game scripts some reputation change for you, and also scripts certain behaviours regardless of your reputation, so don't waste too much time in that direction.

Afterwards, if you're still interested in reputation balancing, but want to do something else other than (or in addition to) bribes, there's a sticky near the top of this forum you can refer to.

I finally got the Hackers on my good side, as well as the Rogues, and I went and bought the Dagger that I so wanted. However, unlike the Hackers Dagger's with Class 6 and 7 guns, the one I bought only have 3 and 4. WTF is up with that??? 2 different ships with the same name??? What's the point of becomeing a pirate if you can't buy a pirate ship? I also have the same feeling about military ships as well. What fun is it when you are teased by seeing the awesome ships, you bust your arse to change your rep, and then the ship you go and buy is inferior to the one you thought you were getting? It's so depressing...

The reason why Mactan fired on you, or and Hacker turns hostile when you're rep with them is neutral, is due to three reasons:

1) You fire on one of their ships/bases enough to piss them off.

2) You refuse to surrender cargo.

3) You fly near an Outcast. Rogues, Hackers, and Outcasts have strong ties. If you're neutral with two of them (Rogues and Hackers), but still hostile with Hackers, the Rogues and Hackers will turn hostile whenever an Outcast ship comes within range.

This also happens with the Bundshuh and Unioners - if you're neutral with one but hostile with the other, both will turn hostile when you encounter them at the same time.

The jumpholes in Magellan and Mactan base is regularly patroled and visited by the Outcasts, so chances are you'll face an angry reception unless you fix your rep with the Outcasts, too.

I finally got onto the good side of the Outcasts after some dumb poor Cardamine hopped up, very foolish, arrogant, overconfident Xenos moron tried to hold up my Eagle (with level 10 shields, guns etc....) right after one of those bloody trains had run up my arse. I went visiting Ouray base and parked right outside the door ...... Poor bastards must've thought the archangel Michael had come with retribution.... After killing about 100 of them I started to amuse myself by turning off all my guns bar 1 Firekiss Mk II, and did some mining while I waited for some more to come home. I am now neutral with, almost all bar Molly's (apt name), Hessians and LWB and so green with the Bounty hunters it's sickening! Wasn't too bad from a profit point of view, I'm surprised that pueblo station didn’t turn upside down with all the weight of weapons - pity they don't pay you more for them.......
