I don't know why so many people have problems with the race, but it seems like people post about it all the time.

Ok, this is what you guys do to win the race.

1) Turn on the Cruise Engines
2) Don't use "Go To," it only slows you down
3) Use mouse flight so you have complete control over your ship
4) Try to anticipate the next turn as much as possible
5) Hug the turns if you can
6) Get a light fighter if you are having problems

Thats all I can think of for now. If anybody would like to add to the list, go ahead.

Also, the guy you're racing stops or wrecks or something and turns on defenses. While he's doing that, he is NOT moving. So you pass him and keep on going.

Don't know why the guy ur racing stopped though..
I did saw a red arrow show up while he slowed down , maybe the scumbag was attacked..

I disagree adamantly there. If you play like me using LMB over Space then LMB Flight > Spacebar Flight so don't spout unsupportable claims. I won first time with LMB so nyah LMB > j00

Well most guys can't fly worth crap with LMB.

I won my first time too...

If you use a trackball this mission is mutch harder, so if you have an old mouse lying around use it. also if you count the rings as you go through them you will get an understanding of where you are having trouble and will be able to ajust that way.

well thats my 2 cents...

7) Get rid of your cargo. It affects ship handling.

Some people use strafe (A/D keys) with success.

The race is piss.
I won my first time in a defender, all u do is power up your cruise engines and keep as tight to the sides of the hoops as possible. The guy mufs up at the ned anyway so u can easily win, don't be put off by his weapons platforms, they're to crud to hit u.

ok this prob stopid question but i want to do racing again, i did it first time before i am wondering if u can do it again and were it is, coz i forgot to note were you do it lol

How did you get a Dromerdary at that point ? Isn't the Dromerdary too high leveled to use byt the time you hit Mactan ?

oh sorry forgot u said when u hit that point - u cant but when u get to the bit where u gotta go to the hood ur level 10 / 11 so i went back and got one
