Mission 3 help (not a sound problem)

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Mission 3 help (not a sound problem)

Hello

Im not stuck on this mission because i have the sound bug that seems to be affecting some people, just that i cant seem to get past these Rheinland fighters. I can manage to take down one of them but by this time i have used a large amount of my sheild batteries and run out before i can take the rest down. im flying the "Defender" heavy fighter, with a class 4 sentry sheild, twin lavaguns, javlin missles, a drail turret and a justice Mk II. from scans i have carried out rheinland fighters carry Stealthblade MkI (shoot green lasers) are these neutron or tachyon based weaons meaning i need to change sheild type? or is there a way of killing them. its very frustrating getting stuck so if anyones got any solutions or tips id be most grateful

Stealthblades are tachyon weapons. even with graviton shields you should be ok. Just remember, when you start you are a sitting duck, hit afterburners immediately and start some evasion. once you pass them you should be ok to dogfight.

Afterburns, like Zaratomb said and side thrusters. If you dont fancy using the side thrusters to weave around just hold one down, it definitely makes you harder to hit.
Instead of using shield batts. run away for a while turning sharply and using your after/side burners to avoid fire - meanwhile your shields should be regenerating. This way you can save your batts for really sticky situations.
Good luck.
