yeah, it is possible, yet a bit complicated.

you gotta balance the reps with the faction and that is - poor guys - over the xenos

eg kill bounty hunters, kill police, kill military, kill everybody to inrease your rep with the corsairs and red hessians and then kill the hell outta the xenos to get the other guys back to neutral... (go to colorado, only level 2 xenos there)

the alliance excel sheet in the download section is quite helpful.

Well.. yes, at least for a while. In Freeport 1 (Omega 3 if I´m not wrong), you will find a guy (usually the bartender), and he'll make you a little fix in your rep. For a "small" (100000) contribution. He can put you in good terms with both sides, all you have to do is talk to him, then pay him. And then talk to him again, he will offer you the same but with the opposite faction (If he doesn´t, get out and try again). It depens on what you do next, how your rep changes again.
Allow me to give you this advice:
Work for both sides, get a job from every one of them (alternate), in this way you can get (at least for a while), a balance. Also if you want to be in good terms with the good guys, work for the BH too, that should be enough.

Freeports are usually good places for this kind of operations.

I went all out in trying to get the corsairs to like me so i could get to cadiz and get some missions and other info on where the other bases are ( this was before I found this site and all the spoilers)

After getting the Titan and realizing that I thought the Sabre would be better, but not wanting to change alliances... I just picked who ever was next on the list of hessan<-sp enemies and attacked them. I think I had picked Dresden and attacked ...... can't remember ... but who ever is right near the Dresden hessen base are the people I attacked.... now both are on friendly terms... just don't take missions where you are going to be attacking one or the other.

I must look pretty odd flying missions for the Corsairs off of Crete flying a Sabre

My brother and I played the pirate Mod where you start out as a Xeno over a LAN, and we killed so many police, bounty hunters, merchants, etc., that virtually all criminals were at least neutral with us. So both the Hessians and Corsairs were neutral to us. It made life much easier searching for hidden wrecks and buying both their equipment

Pfft. Bribes. Pfft. All you have to do is massively attack all authorities and shipping companies you come across, until they all hate you.
