Noman gun level threshold?

Is there a level threshold for getting nomads to drop guns? If so what is the lowest level anyone has picked up a nomad gun at? If not is it easier to get them at higher levels? Thx.

There is a threshold, and it's about 30-31st lvl min. And yes, I think lvl DOES make a difference in how often they drop guns... "Good luck, Pilot!"(Colony Wars)

Thats what i thought, but i've seen people saying they've got nomads to drop at lvl 22. Personally i missed both unknowns on my first trip round the omega/omicrons and was 30ish before i fought a nomad. Then i read about people saying that you couldnt get before 30 so i always waited when i started a new game. Is there a mod that removes the threshold?

Even if there isn't I have a funny feeling that there will be...

As for the others telling how they got their first Nomad weaps at lvl 22...
I really don't know. I got sh*t before lv 30 (or was it 31... I was veeery sleepy at the time - about 02:14)
