Stuck with Dexter

Due to an injury my manual dexterity has been compromised. I get along in the game quite well by trading rather than fighting. However I cannot get past Dexter. I have a dromedary and wonder if I need a more agile ship? If so any suggestions? As a really last resort is there a cheat code to bypass Dexter Hovis?

He can be beaten in a dromedary. Just make sure you engage cruise engines right off the bat and give yourself some turning room. Hovis will mess up towards the end, if possible just plant yourself on his 6 and wait for this. Then pass him.

You can also buy the light fighter availiable on the hood, but if you have a dex problem, might actually be better to stick with the freighter.

I had trouble with Hovis as well. I turned down the mouse sensitivity and finally beat him. Keep your eye on the next ring. The hardest for me was the last 3 rings. I lost many times before winning.
