Best ship/weapon in SP?

You guys keep talking Titan, Eagle, lvl 10 shield etc but I'm still in SP (2 to 3 missions to go), so what are the best ship/weapons in SP? I just got Anubis.

Nomad weapons. They use no Power and have excellent damage ratings. So you can fire away without draining your weapons power. Getting these weapons is difficult but not impossible. You need to venture forth to the omicron Beta and Gamma systems and light up some nomad ships. They will drop a blaster and cannon type weapons. Good hunting!

Always aim for center mass.
