Sweet. I know there is already a clickable map stickied but you cant print a clickable map (muchos respect to the makers anyway). Market research indicated twelvty-nine % of all FL games are fourfteen % sure this deserves a sticky...

Post Wed Apr 16, 2003 6:31 pm

I nominate this for a sticky - I wish I could find where I downloaded the map with all the jump gates - this list plus that map is just about all you need - maybe someone can track that thing down.

Post Wed Apr 16, 2003 8:14 pm

I think you should also flag those jumpholes on the list that are SP only.

Of the top of my head, these are:

New Berlin->Sigma-13
Chugoku->Tohoku
Chugoku->Sigma-13 <---- not sure about this one
Hokkaido->Tohoku
Leeds->Magellen
Cambridge->Leeds
Dublin->Leeds
Omega-3->Cambridge

There may be more...

btw...anyone ever used the Hokkaido->Tohoku jumphole ever? Seems like to me that the system is closed off before and after the mission, but the only jumphole used was the Chugoku->Tohoku jumphole...

Freelancer Roadmap
Sorry, but this map is all about SP, don't have it what it takes to MP...

Post Thu Apr 17, 2003 5:56 pm

This is a very good list....my tip of the hat to you, Ultimate.

Here are a few more suggestions/corrections to make the list more complete/correct:

##### The 2 "Unknown Object" Jumpholes #####

Include the two "Unknown Object" jumpholes located in Leeds and Cambridge. Since they are not marked on the map, nor show up on any target listing unless selected, here are detailed directions on how to get to them:

1) Leeds->Cambridge jumphole

Zoom into the area of the Leeds->New London Jumphole, count 1 square south and 7 squares east, and point a waypoint in that square. Now fly to it, and it should show up right in front of you.

2) Cambridge->Omega-3 jumphole

Zoom into the area of the Cambridge->Leeds Jumphole, count 4 squares south, then 4 squares east. Plot a waypoint right on the line separating the 3rd and 4th squares. Now fly to it, and it should show up right in front of you. It may be a bit difficult to see as the jumphole is white, and the ice cloud surrounding it is quite foggy, so keep your eyes peeled.

Needless to say, both are SP only.

##### Minor corrections/suggestions #####

1) Re-arrange so that it is in alphabetical order by system name...makes looking up the list easier for us. Now, I realize this may be a lot of work, so if you can't be bothered doing it, then don't do it.

2) If you flagged one end of the jumphole as SP only, don't forget to flag the other end too. For example, you flagged the Magellan jumphole under Leeds System as SP only, but the corresponding Leeds jumphole under Magellan System isn't flagged.

3) "Cortez System" is incorrectly spelt as "Cortex System" -- dynamite, anyone? (Sorry, couldn't resist the joke)

4) Under the entry for Hokkaido System, Tohoku jumphole is incorrectly listed as "Thonko"

5) Under Magellan System, Manchester is incorrectly listed as "Manchster"

6) Under Sigma-13 System, Chugoku is incorrectly listed as "Chuguku"

7) Under Omega-5 System, Cambridge is incorrectly listed as "Cambrdige"

Keep up the good work!

Cool effort, UBA... my two cents...

Shi***u = Shi***u

I see 116 jumpgates/holes in the Datastorm data, although it might include unusable ones. This should be everything, period, because it's drawn straight from the game. Email me if you want a dump... I'm in so many threads, I may not see replies Or just look in the MS Access .mdb that Datastorm makes when you run it.

/me drops dead after seeing Haenlomal's second post
well it is in a order if ya look

Capt Htr, if you think im missing any jump holes, post them these are ones i found playing the game, not looking through game files (i think that takes the fun out of it) so im bound to be missing some

The jump hole you have listed as:
Omicron Theta Jump Hole - T6
was a bit hard to find. :p Well... Not really, just flew along longitude 6 until I found it. ^_^ Anyway, it seems to be almost exactly in between E6 and F6
