OMG!!! Lonnigan LIVES!!!
I was doing a bit of Hessians hunting in Omega41 when I bumped into an unexpected "friend" on Freeport 5... it's Lonnigan!!! You know the one that was killed in Liberty.
well it appears he's now working for the Corsairs under the name Rico Santini, and he was offering rep hacks in the bar like the cheap sneaky no-good dog he is. $120K for a rep hack with the Zoners? How about giving me that million credits you own me you back-stabbing bastard!!!
After much thinking (read - drinking) I was forced to conclude the following:
since I've never bumped into other marjor characters again after finished SP, only two things can explain it
Digital Anvil wasn't very careful when they "reused" the character models
or much more sinisterly
Lonnigan - being the greedy liar he is - stagged the whole Nomad Invasion crisis to steal my million credits!!!
Now don't laugh, it's entirely possible. Consider this:
1) You've never seen Lonnigan's body, all you see is an image on TV, which can be planted and hacked.
2) You've killed ALOT of enemies, but they just keep showing up in full force again, but never more than a dozen. Now surely if you're that big a threat, they would have sent more than 4-6 fighters at a time. Which makes you think, were they killed at all? Or just actors reappearing as a different pilot?
3) The Nomads, if they were "caretakers" for the Dom Cavash, shouldn't they be more like powerful? I mean everyone in the same Sector and noone's met for 800 years? Come on! Caretakers who slacks off like that would have been fired centuries ago!
4) Now Juni (if that is indeed her real name) SAYS she's from Kusari, but she talks like a yank! In fact, 90% of the people you talk to have the same accent! Definitely actors.
5) You never got paided! It's true! For "saving mankind", not to mention the President of Liberty, you got a medal. Now I don't know about you, but if I were the ruler of millions of people and hundreds of planet and someone saved my arse, I'd at least give him a free month's trip on the Luxuary LinerHawaii.
There many more holes in your advanture, and I'm inclined to believe that the entire charade is put on with hundreds of actors to steal your money!
oh and your friend Tobias... don't trust him, he's obviously in on it too, I mean look at the way he flirted with the actresses. Fat ugly bastard!
