Mystery in unknown system behind Omicron Gamma?

When you take the unknown jumphole from Omicron Gamma to the unknownsystem with the monkey planet, there is an unknown star in the sector 1H area.

This star seems to be out of focus, and is strangely far away, when you fly to it, you can fly around it, and behind it its a long "tunnel" leading to a far away "mouth"....

Does this tunnel lead somewhere, anyone tried flying to the end of it? So far I have gone 1 k ks from the star at the entrance to the tunnel without reaching the end....Anyone have something on this one?

The anomoly you're flying toward is part of the background skybox - you can't get to it. The star, however, is a documented phenomenon..there's quite a few posts on it around here.

Okies, thank you, I just hate such small traps that tend to have you believe there HAVE to be someething there, why else make a 2 million click long tunnel behind an unnamed star :p
