deucy, you can talk all day long, but you're still wrong. The only instance of the AdV Champion shields in the playable, unmodded game is the NPC version. Those do have 11k ish hp, but they have regen rate 1, so, like I've been saying, they're useless to a PC.
Second, NPC fighters cannot drop any component they didn't have (except for special mission components, like escape pods). For example, you will NEVER see a Nomad weapon drop off a LSF ship. Why? Perhaps because LSF DOESN'T HAVE NOMAD WEAPONS. The Outcast ships do NOT have a version of Adv Champ with a regen higher than 1, so there is no way you could have gotten that shield unless you were playing a modded server.
Besides, shields don't drop off anything I know of in the unmodded game anyways. Even derelict ships don't drop shields.
