Leveling up is based on net worth, so you can take jobs or do trade runs to level up. How long it takes depends on how much the jobs pay or how much profit you get on your trades.

If you open up your player payne (defult F8 i think) you will se a feild that says "next level" if that has a creadit amount, then that is what you need to level. If it says "mission", then you need to complete the next SP mission to level. You can decline to make more money but I have heard of some bugs in the game if you do that for too long.

As for trade runs, basicly you buy stuff from one place and sell it somewhere else. good was to make money fast when you are done with the SP missions. to find a route, do a search on this form (CTRL-F) and enter 'trade' or somthing like that to find those. there are many routs mentioned on this forum.

i think omicron gamma 5 (corsairs base ) has the highest amount of cash offerd and high difficulty.
