Becoming a criminal.

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Becoming a criminal.

If i follow the storyline missions throught the game, how do i become a criminal, pirate, or merchant? Doesn't helping the LSF in the storyline make my reputation bad with the criminals?

Kill LSF ships. Kill Navy ships. Kill enemies of criminals. Leave some areas neutral, so you can hide there when you need to. Choose your enemies carefully...

Knock, knock
Who’s there?
A talking pig.
Pigs can’t talk.
Neither can penguins, but I can’t shut him up[! Wait till you get a load of the dancing candelabra…

Can i still follow the main story if i attack the LSF? What does it mean is a person in a bar offers to change my reputation?

You can follow the main storyline no matter what you do between missions. To get in a faction's good graces you just kill lots of their enemies.

The bribes in the bars will make your rep really good w/the faction they offer to hack for ya. But that faction's enemies will usually end up hating you, too. I wouldn't worry about rep during the SP Storyline, because at the end it'll get reset to a default value anyway.

I'd wait until you're done with the storyline before you go pissing off too many factions though.... Some people have said in the forums that the groups that they've gotten on the bad side of, say when they're on a mission will make it a point to come over and hassle you during a storyline mission even if they're not involved in the mission directly... it's your choice though.... have fun out there

Oooh, never had that happen, but it could really suck. Some of those missions get pretty hairy...

The way i did it was always attack freighters thats how you become a criminal. ya sure the cops and navies will hate you but whoever said being the hero is better than the villain has obviously never played this game because the villain is way better.

I have a character that's a criminal right now, but I'm trying to turn him around and get to neutral with everyone. It's definitely a challenge But yeah, be careful when killing factions ships, cuz it's a lot easier to get them to hate you then to like you.

How to you tell a cargo ship to drop their loot?

Elementgoo for life.

Post Mon Apr 14, 2003 3:56 am

It's easy. Just get to wthin guns range of it, then point your mouse cursor at it. Then, press and hold your fire key until you see a bright explosion. Now, tractor in the loot.

Actually, I don't think there is a way other than what I described to ask another ship to drop its cargo.
