Nope, he was telling a fib....

He just wants to get you to waste a bunch of time fighting Nomads, apparently. The modders are working on making a cloaking device work on your ship, but they haven't gotten it yet AFAIK.

A cloaking device wouldn't be such an advance if this could cause some disadvantages. For example: you cann't shoot while cloaked, after decloaking you can not shoot for some time, cloaking again will take some time - more if you must run away and shoot, but you can use your shield batteries to speed up loading the cloaking device. And one more thing - you can not move while decloaking or your shield will go down.
This should get chances of two players (one using and second not using cloaking device) more equal. Don't ya think?

i like all the ideas cept for the "cant move when decloaking or shiled go down" thats abit too far IMO, im all for fair play, but making somone a sitting duck?
