does this go into the editing forum or this? well, i just did my bit in freelancer yesterday (morelike early morning today, 1am) and i clicked multiplayer in the main menu and chose LAN, and it said i wasn't connected to the internet and i couldn't join anything. couldn't i create one? there doesn't seem to be anything about that on that screen. is there something in the readme that might help ?

Check/post the Multiplay forum, They have some existing posts there that will help you get a LAN game up and running. Most of it is beyond me, My programming/computer tweeking skills went out with the Vic20, hehe

no matter where you choose to play (internet or LAN) you must have an up and running flserver. the exe file is somewere in the game folder. Just launch it and setup your server ( is very basic ) and voilla.
