Level 10 freighter

Is there a freighter capable of holding lev 10 shields? If not, why are there lev 10 freighter shields on Malta?

Willing to bet that is what freighters like Trains use. We know they exist, but we don't have access to them. Just like Corsairs having CL10 graviton shields(Champions). We know they are there, but we can't use them.

I don't understand your question. As you may note in my first post, I was already aware that level 10 shields exist. However, there is no freighter capable of using lev 10 shields. I'm trying to find out why this is. I don't think Trains have shields.

Yeah, Trains don't have shields. Know what else, in SP, Juni's defender can mount class 8 weapons. Gee, that's not right. Scan an NPC Humpback sometime - maybe they can mount higher class shielding than normally allowed for players just like Juni. Who knows.

You can always look at the game files yourselves if you need definite answers. I didn't check the whole shiparch.ini but as far as I know no default ships can use the level 10 freighter shield sold in Malta or Crete. I just modded my Domesdary to use *two* of them after I finished SP.
