Nomad Home World Mission - Help

OK I am trying to destroy the shield generators in the Nomad Home World mission in SP. No matter what I do I cannot survive long enough to do any real damage to even ONE of the generators. Any hints?

OK already. Just after I posted this thread I realized I should have been in the "spoilers" forum. I had hoped I could get this out before anyone caught it. Thank you for picking me up before I fell down.
