whats a spoiler? for those that dun kno what i mean, cuz i didn't at first. it'll be easy to be confused. i'm refering to the 'spoiler' in the ship parts. when i go to dock, well, limping to dock, after returning from my tekagi base exploits, in my wingless, gunless, turretless, nanobot-less, shield battery-less defender (not a defender anymore. . . ) i found htat the repair guy had 'spoiler' on my list with a few hundred $$'s to fix. so what on earth is that bit? i understand the left wing, right wing, and the starboard thingy on my humpback rite now. . . but whats a spoiler ??

This is from the dictionary of automotive terms "An aerodynamic device attached to a vehicle (usually on the front bumper or on the decklid) to either reduce drag or induce downforce on the vehicle. So called because it spoils the normal flow of air over or under the vehicle."

Now why this is attached to a spaceship, One can only wonder. Possibly as with most cars people buy, it just makes them look cool. But at an extra $400.00 to install one, my car will remain spoilerless.

Just be glad they didn't hit that "R-Type" sticker on the rear window.

That would've slowed your defender down so much it would've taken almost twice as long to get back to base.
