I think I read somewhere in the game it had something to do with jump gate/trade lane technology.

Yeah, there's not much to it. The Texas system is where Aegira Tech did their first experiments with a Jump Lanes, with disasterous results. That's why a lot fo the system outside the main trade lanes is Radioactive, with the two Grand Negra clouds being the worst spots; where the actual explosions occured.

In 500 AS the incident occoured and I think I read somewhere destroyed all man-made objects in the system. The military then decided to pull out of the system.

Those Negra clouds were sure fun to sweep. Ughhh. lol. But yeah - agree with all said above. I haven't seen any of the gritty details anywhere though.

Actually there was only one explosion which took place in the middle of the debris field between those two clouds. There's a jumphole right on the spot where the detonated Jump Gate has been once. The clouds are remains of the explosion which have been pushed to their actual position by the blast.

Hmmm...This is something I have not run across in the game....Maybe I have to go thru the Texas System again, and look for this.

Then again...I usually just breeze thru the Liberty systems....and don't spend too much time in the bars.....

Keep missing out on the good rumors that way....lol

Yah, dont know where i saw it, but somebody told me the wormhole made by the Jumpgates couldnt pass though the antimatter clouds all the way to Kusari. The result? BOOM!
