General Info For New Posters.

I thought that there should be some sort of post that tells people what we already know and provide some general info.

The thread aims to consolidate information generally asked by newcomers.

So here goes.

Tips & Tricks
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(a) How do I survive Mission X?

- Make sure you have the best ship money can buy at each point of the game.
A good progression sequence will be StarFlier -> Defender -> Crusader
-> Dragon -> Anubis
- Try to practise your piloting and maneoveuring skills. Also, try hitting
Space for Mouse Flight instead of the click and drag system.
- Use your shield batts and nanobots judiciously.
- NEVER fly in a straight line.

(b) What is the most profitable trade route?

While opinions may differ, the most protiftable trade route to date is the
Diamond Run. Diamonds from New Berlin to New Tokyo; Niobium from New Tokyo
to the Ring (Just above New Berlin).

The route is New Tokyo System -> Honshu -> Sigma-13 -> New Berlin. Note
that the jump from Sigma-13 to New Berlin is through a jumphole.

It will help to be neutral with the following factions:
Red Hessians, Corsairs, Blood Dragons, Golden C., Hogosha.

(c) How do I find Jump Hole to XXX, Planet XXX?

Press F6. Go to the Patrol Routes filter. Find areas where many routes
converge to a point. Most of the time, bases or jump holes can be found.

(d) How do I get level 10 weapons?

Level 10 weapons cam be found in wrecks all over the sector. Shoot the
wrecks once using your weakest weapon. Sometimes, things will come out.
Press B to tractor in.

For more info, refer to this

(e) How do I get the Nomad weapons?

Head to F2 in Omicron Gamma or F4 in Omicron Theta. These are the locations
of the Unknown Jump Holes. Nomads spawn in waves of 4. Be advised, a good
shield, powerful guns, and decent faction with either Corsairs or Outcasts
is essential for survival.

Drops of weapons are RANDOM. However, there has been observations that drop
rates increase at levels 35 and above.

(f) Where do I get the Eagle, Sabre or Titan?

Eagle - Freeport 9. Omicron Theta System. (Neutral to Zoners to dock)
Sabre - Vogtland Base. Dresden System. (Neutral to Red Hessians to dock)
- Planet Malta. Omicron Alpha System. (Neutral to Outcasts)
Titan - Leon Base. Omega-41. (Neutral to Corsairs)
- Planet Crete. Omicron Gamma. (Neutral to Corsairs)

(g) How do I up my faction for XXX?

Either killing their enemies of by bribing people.

Info on the former can be accessed in the game by pressing F8 and selecting
the factions.

Info on the latter can be found here

(h) Are there any Easter Eggs?

Yes. The game's Easter Egg is found by jumping into the Unknown Jump Hole in
F2 of Omicron Gamma. There are two very interesting planets.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's all I can think of for now, maybe when I have more ideas, I'll add on.

Where can I find the Anubis? (In a multiplayer game that is)

I searched the forum, but didn't find it...

Thanks,

SImple. You cant. Toledo base is inaccesible in the multiplayer, and the Osiris is not present either.

I don't think it is...but is it possible to get the order base in multiplayer or in singleplayer after you have passed it?

Toledo is the Order base, so as the above post says, you cant access it... that is with the exception of a mod that opens all gates.
