destroying the Nomad home inside dyson sphere

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

destroying the Nomad home inside dyson sphere

How??
Plain and simple HOW?

I have tried this part from the entrance into dyson sphere about 20 times and i can never deliver even quarter damage to one of those structures that send beams to the main structure. I guess those are the ones i am suppose to destroy but there is no way to do that unless you get up close at which point it takes 10 seconds for the weapons platforms around that structure to destroy my ship.
I had no more shield batteries and no more nanobots, Order Anubis Heavy Fighter with Order HF Shields and 2 catapult missile launchers, 1 starkiller torpedoe and some Impr. COuntermeasures and a whole bunch of missiles and torpedoes...but i get no chance to use them because i die too quickly!!!

What is the best way to go about this.
Its frustrating me so much i feel like i've hit the wall and can't go further and i feel like i might give this game up!!!

Please help!

Thanks in advance!

If your using the Anubis (which I hope you are) then you just get right up super close, and keep moving, circling around the platforms slowly until you destroy them.

You should also have the weapons that are sold by the Order and the shield they sell. If you dont, then Im sorry to say it, but I think you might just be out of luck.

A torpedo would really help on this mission. But if you just circling slowly and stay close to the side, Or just go between the two pillers each generator/platform as on it, you can survive long enough. Sometimes you need to boost away from too much damage and then re-circle.

what I did was I went to the shield generators and circle fired at and as well as shooting tonnes of starkiller(I think thats was it's called) torps. After you kill the files one, try to get to the second one as fast as you can as all the Normads start to fire on yoou.

k.

I found that if you parked right under the shield generators, the weapons platforms can't hit you, but as soon as the shield generator is gone, afterburner away because the nomads start shooting at you a lot, causing massive damage if you don't.

It mostly depends on your ship and your equipment... if you dont have good enough equipment, you cant beat the game.. its that simple.

Im going to try and beat the game with a Startracker some time lol

well i do have the Order's Heavy FIgher if that's what you mean by the Anubis...i don't remember if that was its name.
I have the Order HF shield...no use cause it gets destroyed real quick.
As for the weapons, i got a debilitator turret, torpedoe launcher, Suncannon B (2x), Dragoon, Pyros and I do believe i have another gun in the 150 Hull damage/60-70 Shield damage area.

As for the destruction of the structures, i actually tried to get up against that glowing blue line that goes around the big generators but the platforms get me quickly.
I don't have any shield batteries left because i ran into so much fighting since my last departure from any station, that i just had to use it all up...spent the last 4-5 of the 29 total when i blasted the shields to get into the dyson sphere.

SHould i restart from the last station visit and make sure i save the batteries or what???
And what guns should i buy at the Order home planet (the last place i visited)???
And where exactly should i position my self to avoid as much fire as possible???
If i'm directly underneeth, will i avoid fire and will i still be able to shoot the generator...or will i have to shoot at the glowing ring that looks like a belt around it???

I can't remember what guns the order sells and such, but I would get rid of the debilitator turret and use something that does real damage, since the Nomads don't have shields. For positioning, all I remember is that I was underneath the generators shooting the rock with all my guns and torps, and I barely got shot at. I think if you are kind of below and to the side that is away from the weapon platforms you'll be ok. If I did get low on shield, I hit cruise and flew around until my shields charged back up (once I ran out of batteries that is). But be sure to do this before your shield gives out or you're as good as dead.

How I miss the last missions of SP...rushing around with no idea what was next or if you'd get a chance to buy more batteries, because I seem to remember always being out of batteries for the last couple stages of each mission.

Anyway, good luck, man.

Shield Drainer weapons are worthless.

Seriously your best bet is to just get the hardest hitting stuff you can, and use all the torpidos you can.

It might not be a bad idea to have a Catapult Launcher too... just so you can fire Rocket Torp Rocket Torp

Thats what I did, it worked faster than sitting and using my guns.

You only have to destroy two.
So don't worry.
Just get as close to the generators as you can. Like beside them, then fire your guns. You'll be pretty hard to fire at.
Of coourse, if you get hit, just afterburn abit to move away, keep staying close to the generators and do not leave the surface of the generator.
They provide good cover.

That's how I beat it with 2 nanobots and no shield batts left.
(And of course, I was cursing all the way...Torps ran out and all..)

I had 5 Torps.. but no Nano or Shields...

I was lucky.. I hit my own Torp at one point (DO NOT ASK)

I had a pretty easy time here. Probably more luck than anything. I did find that if you position yourself VERY close to the generator and with it between you and the weapons platforms, you will not get hit very much. When I say close I mean 0 meters!
Fire a couple of starkillers, let them hit your target before firing every gun you have. You only have to destroy two. I'll let you form your own opinion about the rest.

I set myself up about 1500 away and went in with my thruster straight at it, blsting it with torps and guns the whole way and even on the way out, with my rear turret. I was surprised because the whole time I was doing that, the fighters weren't attacking me at all- just the weapon platforms.

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless

Their Nomads, what do you expect lol

Another thing to do that I tried and worked well was also using the Driller mines as I slowly circled and fired guns. When you launch one, it heads straight for the generator. I just kept popping them as I was firing and it went down pretty quickly.

i dont know why you find it so hard, i found this to be the easiest end mission of all,

what i did was to load up on full loads of everything i can, mines, and torps, BEST there is, best guns and just went in guns blazing, granted that i had no batts or bots remaining, but i only took one try to destroy the 2 generators...

i think it might have something to do with me sticking close to it, like 100 meters or less
