If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Ok, SP is over and I'm level 18. That's it? I just freelance till I get the ultimate ship? WITHOUT cheating what it the ship to own / work for? Where do I find nomad weapons? I'd like to see what you guys have as "Nastiest Ship In The Galaxy". Does anyone know about an expansion pack? Release date? In the works?

there are TONNES of threads discussing these topics on this board alone, go read and dont be lazy

If i had a buck for every "That's it?"-thread on these forum, i'd be a millionaire by now.

Yes thats it.
Yes till you get the ultimate ship.
Work for an Eagle/Sabre/Titan or a Humpback if you want to be a beefy trader.
Nomad weapons are dropped by the Nomads, you cannot buy them. I am not sure if they drop at all in Single Player. If they do and you want to know where they are, its listed here or you got some hints at the tail end of the missions.
Nastiest ship would be one of the three listed above. They are all very similar, pick the one you like the look of. I like the Sabre and it handles well, but the Titan has more shields but appears to turn slightly more sluggishly.
I haven't heard of an expansion yet, the game hasn't even been released to some countries yet, so I don't think there will be an expansion for a bit.

I'd be happier if that were the case, I finished SP and became level 38 instantly, (I've had $2M since level 11) so now I have to trek to my second home and buy a new boat, then kick whatever butt remains to be kicked, map the place out, etc. So while you may have saved the world and become level 18, I did the same and became level 38.

See you on the flip side, eh?

How did you get 2 million without advancing to the next mission?

Post Thu Mar 27, 2003 6:25 pm

he didn't advance to the next mission because he was done with the single player campaign. Hence him saying "I finished SP"

I think you're asking how he amassed that much money before he finished the SP campaigns, right? It's quite possible, easy even. The missions appear as you reach X amount of money, but the trick is to ignore the requests to meet Juni, and just go ahead and do whatever else you want to build up your funds. The missions for the SP campaign will wait for you while you take other freelance jobs. You won't gain levels until you do the official missions, so your choice of ships/gear is limited, though. But once you finish the SP official campaigns, your level is determined by your worth, and if that's high enough, you can instantly gain multiple levels...max it out, in fact, if you're rich enough.

It's one approach, but it might lead--depending on your preferences and playing style--to missing out on some of the interesting intermediate ships and gear combinations before you get to where you can buy the (inevitable?) Eagle/Sabre/Titan. ;-)

It's better to burn out than to fade away

Ah cool, I did wonder what happened if you just ignored her. I was expecting Nomad attacks on Manhatten or something heh.

I was a bit shocked at how fast I leveled after I finished the main missions... stumbled across some wrecked ships with level 10 weapons and went up three levels in a couple of minutes. Leveling should be a bit harder IMO.

Requirements for the ships should be higher. And the levels should come more slowly... and not stop at 38(which Microsoft Corporate Drone(er... programmer) came up with that number?
