why are some ppl so stupid?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

why are some ppl so stupid?

first off all this isnt meant as a personal insult against ppl who have so much trouble finishting the game
second, if u do take this personal and decide to bother me or even insult me ... i dont give a ****

the past few days i checked these forums several times a day and every time there were new qeustions about certain single player missions and tactics and ****
ppl were complaining like hell they couldnt finish the race, destroy the generators or complete any other mission

u ppl must really really suck at this game ...

i never played a space combat sim game before and my aim is far from perfect
still i managed to beat the game without much difficulties

i started out like everyone did offcourse with the stupid starflier
i decided i wanted a rhino --> bad choice
its **** in battle
so i quickly traded that for a patriot and went past a few missions until i came on a planet or station where i could buy the cavalier
after that i switched to the barracuda and then the anubis

here are the only times i needed to reload
- battle at ithica reserach station: i showed up in my rhino ... big mistake
reloaded and bought a patriot (defender would be a bit better here but i had no money and not in the mood to earn some more first)
- battle where u need to destroy 4 generators to dock with a fortress (where u first encounter the nomad phenomen): i targetted the shieldglobe instead of the generators the first time ... stupid me ^^
- battle when u need to defend the order base: when they told me to dock again since the artifact thingy was finished i got shot in the ass by the second uncloaking battleship when i made my run for the docking rings

besided these 3 times i got killed (2 times because of my own stupidity) i had totaly no problem at all to finish the game, including the race that i won the first time (i even hit 2 gates that knocked me out of course)

i even think the anubis flies like **** but the extra hull and turret is very handy

so now i got a little question to all those whining bitches that cant finish the game ... are u like 10 years old or something that u just lack the (little required) skill to finish this way to easy game?
if so, hey no prob. have fun
if not. plz stop whining, get a life, play better and stop wasting ppl's time on forums with dumbass questions and complaints just because u suck ass

Well, thats a pretty ****ty post...why even make it. Not everyone is good at gaming, that shouldn't mean that they shouldn't play. Others may need help and may just not be good at these types of games. Really, if this is how you feel, keep your opinions too yourself, it does nothing but annoy people and belittle people and does not help in any way whatsoever.

I love it when people take the time to type up a big post yet still manage to type like a 10 year old l33t h4x0r and then make their whole post look stupid just from that.

I especially love the title!

Congratulations on calling other people 10 year olds as an insult while making yourself look like one.

*clap Clap*

i finished the game like you did, hardly having to load except for a few missions

but then again, not many people have much experience as a flight sim jockey, those asking for help are probably first time players

and i bet that YOU took many tries when you played your first flight sim

So you make a whole big thread to flame people for requesting spoilers in the SPOILER FORUM?

Am I the only one who sees something remotely ironic about this?

Speaking of which, I've reloaded very few times too...the same amount, in fact.
- Once in the mission where a swarm of Rhineland ships attacks that Liberty asteroid base in the ice field(got careless trying to bag a gunboat and forgot to use my nanos/batts)
-Once in that racing mission because I was too stubborn to swap ships the first time(after spending hours and tens of thousands of credits building a clunky clydesdale into a rather awesome gunship...you know how it is)
-Third time, in mission 13, because I got wiped away when going through the Dyson sphere.

So whoop-dee-freakin doo...let people ask their questions. If you don't want to see the questions being asked, maybe you shouldn't be visiting a SPOILER FORUM...

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless

first of all, learn to read
i said clearly that i have no problem with 10 year olds asking questions since they probably dont play very long yet and can use the help
but i wont believe that all the stupid questions asked here come from only 10 year old ppl

second, this is my first fly sim either + my aim sux and i still finished it so easily
thats why i really have a hard time with ppl who really keep asking the same questions about damn easy missions over and over

and to finish, i dont give a **** about spelling errors or ppl flaming back. i m not even english ffs.

Ok. I thought I would speak on this, just because this is a sad commentary about our society. Or at least some moronic members of it.

Just because someone has problems in the game, doesn't mean that they are "stupid 10 year olds". Also, many people are trying out computer games for the first time. And your little comment about how people are stupid for asking questions on the game, just shows how much of an intollerant idiot you are. A LOT of people can have problems on one small thing and have no idea about how to complete it. I am sure that in real life, you are also guilty of asking a "stupid question". Did you get your answer? (If you haven't asked a "stupid question", you were stupid.)

If you need it any more spelled out, than let me do it. This is a forum to answer questions. If you do NOT like reading the questions, I would sugest you find a nice place out in the world that will cater to your desire. I hear there are remote areas of Alaska you can go to.

Any time you get mad about someone needing help, you could just start to run. Keep running until you realize how horribly foolish you are.. repeat. This way, you could get in good shape, just by reading, and getting mad at things you do not understand. Perhaps you should *think* before you *disgrace*.

there are no stupid questions, only stupid ppl ...

and why do some ppl still cant complete certain (easy) missions while all they have to do if press F6 and read the damn mission instructions ...
is it really so hard?
i really have a very hard time believing all this bull****

First of all F6_Knight, could you please refrain from using strong language ? It´s not allowed here at TLR, check the FAQ, because there are certain rules that apply to anyone who visits TLR and that includes you my friend.

Second of all, in your initial post you wrote...

this isnt meant as a personal insult against ppl who have so much trouble finishting the game

But the fact is that you are insulting people and calling them 10-year-old whiners. Some people simply have a lack of information due to several reasons (like not having played a game before, not familiar with the genre etc.), but that does not mean that they can´t ask questions about a game. Games are being created to entertain the ones that want to be entertained and not simply for hardcore gamers who play 24/7. In fact, DA created Freelancer to be more open to one and all then ever before, but that doesn´t mean people have no questions anymore. By opening up the game to a wider audience, you can only expect more questions and that is a good thing. While creating games, it´s all about reaching people who you normally perhaps wouldn´t reach and that has been the whole general idea of DA by creating Freelancer. Besides, who are you to judge people about the way they play their games ? The Lancers Reactor is a FAN SITE and therefore people come her to know everything there is to know about a game and to get some help when they are in need of it. THAT`s what a FAN SITE is all about my friend...

Its pretty clear you dont speak English very well.

I have never played any flightsims and ive died a lot of times (6-10), but I think its more a question of taking risks.

Doing missions, is picking your own choice. You choose the mission and by doing this, you make your own destiny. Doom or Wealth.

Now I usually prefer to do missions that make me a wealthy man, over a simple victory. Which usually brings the risk that I die a horrible death.

On the other hand it does keep the game very exciting, but as you say, it does bring the complication that finishing the game IS very hard!! (not for me though, but I do get people that have a hard time with it)

AND, u probably use the trick, that doing a mission makes you "untargeted"in the whole system. No enemies will attack you untill you finished your mission (and often even after that)

Also there is no use in flaming people that DO have a hard time, because there will always BE people that need help.
And thats what other people are here for.

Your comment also makes it seem more like you are trying to flame the makers of the game, blaming them for making it so easy.
