Warning lights???

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

start a new game in SP, on the first mission, the first time the trade lane gets disrupted and you enter combat watch the left side, you should see it. (it's closer to the center then the lag warning)

I think it means Navigational Hazard Zone, I get it every now and again in asteriod fields.

That's very possible; I should test it...

Can't anybody post a screenshot of it?

I could try...this may take awhile, though. why don't you spread your wings, see what work you can find?

here we go.

This question has been asked a several times in the past. So far, here are the things that i have figured out:

1. That warning light is technically called the "Tracking" indicator.

That's it. However, the hypotheses that I've heard and come up with are the following:

1. It warns you that there is a mine that is tracking you.
or
2. It's letting you know that you can launch a mine with a higher probability of hitting your intended target.

However, I am leaning more towards the first guess. Cheers.

from my experience, that indicator meant that a mission critical target is being attacked. i.e. the freighter you are escorting

Post Mon Apr 07, 2003 11:38 am

hmmm... good theroy. come to think of it, I might only see it when I'm escorting... I neet to pay more attention to it.

Post Mon Apr 07, 2003 1:00 pm

surely it should say in the manual

Post Wed Apr 09, 2003 4:08 am

Nope, read the manual cover to cover and looked at most of the pics. nothing. not suprising becaues of microsofts involvement with this product (DA's biggest mistake). But I hope someone can figure this out so I can get some sleep soon... sorry about the spelling, this is my first day off in over 2 weeks (millitary) and I am more then slightly intoxicated.

O.k. replayed the entire SP missons. I tried my best to see this warning light whenever it came up. through all the SP missions I've only seen this twice. First time was as mentioned before(first mission). The second time was on the last mission... sence I wasn't escorting anyone in the last mission, I'm left whith more questions then answers. Still clueless on when it means... someone help!!!

If I had a nickel for every time someone told me that my idea of building a giant robotic parrot out of melted down coins was a bad idea, I would have one kick a$$ giant robotic parrot.
