Buying new ship in Bretonia (SP): makes no sense!! [!

Once you flee to Bretonia in SP, Tobias tells you you need to get a Bretonian ship, so that people will not know who you are and stop chasing you. And once you DO get a new ship, people don't know you're that rogue from Liberty anymore and stop chasing you. So if all it takes to become a "different person" is to get a ship from another House, then why do I get fired on when I go back to Liberty?

If you ask me, they should have left that out of the game.

purchasing th new ship in bretonia fixes your reputation with the bounty hunters guild. nothing more. and it works only once. You are not supposed to return to liberty at this time.

So, where is your problem?

The problem is exactly the fact that it fixes your reputation! Can't bounty hunters scan you and see who the person is that is flying inside the ship? 'Cause everyone else seems to be able to. If only it were that easy to improve reputations.. I don't like any "one time only" phenomena like this one. Takes some of the realism away from the game.

I don't like it, too.
Don't care about factions as long as you are in SP. I did and I was frustrated since after each mission my factions were mixed up, and at the end of the campaign were resetted completely.

go straight through the campaign. It is great, but it is a campaign and not a simulation. Once you finished it start a (new) multiplayer game.

On the plus side, if you want to do some pirating you can go back to Liberty at this point in the story and do all the pirating you want. Do one more mission for Juni so you are level 10, buy the Dromedary from Mactan and go back to Liberty space. Loads of fun....
