I need help getting to Omicron Alpha

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

I need help getting to Omicron Alpha

I need a Sabre! I have over a million credits that are burning a hole in my pocket right now.

Anyways, here's the rundown on my situation. Right now I am piloting a Dromedary with class 6 shielding, and all class 5/6 weaponry. I know it's probably not the best choice but it's got me this far.

My original plan was to get there via Rheinland. I was in Dresden and I located the jump to Omega-11. No problems there except with the Hessians I'm hostile with. Once I get to Omega-11, I try to find the jump to Omega-41. My plan was basically this:

Dresden > Omega-11 > Omega-41 > Omicron Gamma > Omicron Theta > Omicron Beta Alpha

However, I couldn't find the hole and me and my partner got raped.

My next plan was to head back up through New Berlin and go Frankfurt > Sigma 13 > Sigma 19 > Omicron Beta > Omicron Alpha. This worked out fine until I got to Sigma 13. While looking for the jump holes to either Sigma 19 or Sigma 17, I run into giant clouds of poisonous gas that kill me within a few seconds whenever I reach the sector that the jumphole is located at.

Anybody have any ideas? Right now I've called it quits and am stationed at Sigma 13.

Thanks in advance.

You can go into the clouds of explosive gas without getting wasted, just slow down and be careful. There is often stuff to find in the central area of such clouds. But, it's much safer to do with the class-10 shield, of course. It can be funny to hang out inside one of those clouds (or minefields) and listen to the radio chatter of the AI pilots as they cruise around in there, getting themselves messed up... they're really bad with mines. Anyway, I know there is one of those clouds next the the Sigma-17 jumphole in Sigma-13, but the jumphole isn't inside it -- just go around it.

If you want to go to Omicron Alpha from Omicron Theta, that jumphole is weird. The map won't display a label on it, and your sensors call it an "unknown object" when it's in range. It's in the upper right part of the system; I don't remember the exact coords.

If you are on good terms with the Outcasts and Bounty Hunters you can get to Omicron Alpha through tau 23-37-alpha. Couple nice wrecks to check along the way to. Is a bit from where you are now, have to go through leeds or kyushu

Thanks a lot for the ideas guys.

I'll try getting through the gas clouds without dying later, and if that's still not working I'll head for the Tau systems through the New Tokyo region. Thankfully it isn't too far away.

the jump hole to omega 41 is in omega 11, south west from that mine field wher all the wrecked fighters are. To find it I kept talking to freighters until one ofe them told me he is going to omega 41. that gives you the direction. but don#t join them, they get blown up in the mine field. Just recognize the direction, set a waypoint and go on your own.

The Sabre is also sold at that Hessian base in Dresden. Much easier to get to.

or you could go to honshu---> sigma-19, go to e3 for jump hole to omicron beta and then e3 again for jump hole in omicron beta to omicron alpha... malta is on d5 i found this route much easier
