Sorry, the only way to get a lvl8 graviton shield is to buy a "Titan" where it is equipped in as a default. I'm not sure if a Sabre has one too, but at least I can definitively tell you that it isn't sold anywhere.

The max. shields being sold are:
c10 Positron - Planet Crete, Omicron Gamma (or other Corsair Stations there)
c09 Molecular - Freeport9, Omicron Theta
c07 Graviton - Gas Miner Naha, Sigma 13

there are also other places where you can buy some of those, but as a general rule the c10 positron shield is _only_ sold by pirates, so if you're a nice guy... better go buy some rep hack before going there.

There are no c9/c10 gravitons and no c10 molecular shield in the game, only the NPCs have those and you can't loot them for it.

you CAN loot them... though the chances are low. I mean the probability of them dropping it.

if you look at the files... the C10 shields are ALL lootable.

I just wasn't sure if any ship had them.

hum... time to go hunting.

edit: i realized what was meant by NPCs...cause they have their own kinds of shields which aren't lootable ever.... but all PC shields are lootable... question is... who has em...

I have never gotten a shield of any kind in the equipment dropped by killed AI ships, and I've killed quite a few. Basic Thrusters, yes, for the little they're worth, and usually damaged at that... but no shields... ever. Besides, if you scan the AI ships you can see the shields they are using have a lousy regen of 1; so they're mostly worthless, anyway. I've read that people have been able to hack the .ini files to make the other types of class-10 shields available, though.

That is, unfortunately, so true. I think DA just wanted to make the computer a little easier. However, the actual c10 Graviton shields have a regen rate of 245 and a capacity just over 11,000 (which is higher than the 10,000 capacity on the AI). The c10 molecular have the same stats as the c10 positron. I know, I checked the .ini files.

Even if they dropped their shields, the last thing you would want on your ship is a shield that recharges 1 energy per second.
