"New Diplomat" - A Nomad?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

"New Diplomat" - A Nomad?

Anyone notice that the voice of the "New Diplomat" in the final cinematic is the same voice as the chancellor when he was posessed by the nomad in the "Save the Pres" mission?

HmmMMmMmMMmmm....

You know... if this is really true, then you might actually have a very interesting point there. As a wannabe-author with a bit of knowledge about tension arcs and narrative techniques I always wondered why they'd introduce that totally unnecessary character in the ending sequence.

Well, finally I decided that it was only to "break up" the conversation bewteen Juni and Trent so the two wouldn't get a chance to 'come closer ' to each other ...(for the sake of the upcoming freelancing part, I guess Trent wouldn't be totally independent with a girlfriend in the Liberty Security Force - he probably wouldn't join the pirates for example.)

But seeing it that way... hmmm, who knows - maybe a final "anchor" to hook up a possible sequel/addon? This reeks of storytechnical tactics.

Or maybe they didn't want to hire another voice actor for such a small part. :p

Sure, it's possible.
But... well you have to admit that this diplomat is totally useless in that scene(apart from that rather speculative Trent/Juni keepaway thing), so it is a valid question why they'd bring him in at all. And such a mysterious stranger would be a very handy start for a new story.

oh yeah... that might be possible.. but dont u think orillion asking trent to become eyes and ears of the order gives a much more stronger angle to the add-ons... yeah. just to break juni and trent up i'd say...

presently, my world is upside down, so if u do not mind, u'll have to tok to my a$$

isnt he the guy talking to juni at the start of the game?

costs cutting

if anyone watches cartoons, you will see they use the same voice actors for many roles

What about using the voice of the narrator of the intro movie? Ohh well doesn't really matter now... that's in the past now...

There changed it....hey what can I say, I was really tired and couldn't think of the word...

"isnt he the guy talking to juni at the start of the game?"

AFAIK: Yes. So he isn't really introduced in the final scene. However is presence is not really useful... One thing I do not get though is that AFAIK all Nomads got sucked into the wormhole thing, so there should be no way for this guy to be infected...

During the SP campaign, when people were possesed thier voices never changed. Only when they were revealing themselves. So it doesn't matter if his voice is the same as the Chancillar because the nomads used the original voice of the host.

Their illogical pride is a handicap on their life expectancy

In that case I suppose they just figured they were nto going to pay an additional Voice Actor for an NPC who only shows up twice in the game and is without any real significance

I found that guy a lil supiscious also. I don't trust Orillion either. This game has be very cynical

I do trust Orrillion... He somehow really reminded me of Morpheus...

Maybe Orillion was asking you to keep an eye on the 'New Diplomat' guy because he's a little suspicious.
