Who are the Ventru?

Anybody know who the Ventru are? I was on Freeport 5 and some Corsair lady said she was a Ventru, and if I didn't know who they were, I would find out the horrble truth if I explored their space further.

Its a family line that was voted by the elders to be eaten in order to surive thier first year on thier new home world because they had no food.

ya..........the bar in crete tells u about their past.........how the hispania was sabotaged and i think the people who abandoned ship became the outcasts.....and the people who stayed on until the ship could move no more became the corsairs......and yes they had no food so the ventrus were voted to be eaten..........thus all corsairs are part ventru because all of them ate the ventru.........blah blah blah.......the ventru have the most honor since they gave themselves up to be eaten.....blah blah blah

Shouldn't it be the other way round? The wreckage of the Hispania is near planet Malta , the Outcast homeworld, so I'd say it was them who stayed on the ship to the bitter end.

Agreed. It was the Corsairs who left early.

Totally non-related, but I think it'd be so cool if the Outcasts and Corsairs joined forces to claim all of the edge-worlds for the Hispania!

so it is true, 5 sleeper ships were sent, recently, my fren and i were having this debate about how many houses there were. then it turns out, the answer is that hispania crashed huh. got to tell him that... and if the cosairs bailed out early, then how on earth (or should it be sirius?) did they come about to get such advanced ships as the titans ? and i got to check out the crash site... coordinates? which system ?

presently, my world is upside down, so if u do not mind, u'll have to tok to my a$$

There is no "crash site" , it just stranded in space, and was probably furtherly cannibalized later.

IIRC, the ship is floating in a debris field South East of planet Mallorca , in the Corsair home system (Omicron Alpha?)

The Corsairs have such advanced ships such as the Titan because they utilized stolen technology from the colonies AND reversed-engineered technology gained from still active alien (Dom-Kivash) artifacts, not too mention the enormous wealth gained from the illegal artifact trade.

Oh yeah, have you guys noticed that there is a passage leading along the insides of The Hispania, sorta like a small tunnel?

Wouldn't it be great to have a race in Mp? you know, the fastest pilot through the Hispania wins ????
