Odd Sector?

Has anyone been past the Omicron Gamma sector? In this sector there is a green radiated nebula with a ton of corsair wrecks around a hidden unknown jump hole. As i got close very high class (weapon class 10) Nomad interceptors started attacking. I went through it and found an odd sector with two planets and suns. One planet was called Primus that had people with monkey faces, and the other was normal. the people on the planet said they knew me but didnt have any info. I am wondering if this was an unfinished area that got left in the game or what.
Does anyone have any info on this?
