Apparently, when you access your reputation "f8", you can click on a faction name and determine who their allies and enemies are. to get in good with a faction, attack their enemies, to further your bad reputation with a group attack thier friends...you may still need to spread some green around "cash", but your chanes of getting a positive response are much better...hope it helps...
