Poor ending SP

Poor ending SP

Hi all,

After finishing the main story, I found it hard to believe that, there's no more to it. Then I explored every single system in search of a trigger to continue the mission, now after searching this site, it's clear. There is no more to it! This is very sad, because the story an obvious ending, like if you had totally wiped out the Nomads. What kept me going to the Max level of 38, is the fact that I found the Nomads outside the story in an Unknown system in Omichron alpha. So with the most powerfull craft (Titan) and the most powerfull guns and shield, and a bankaccount with 4.000.000 credits, what are the aims now? Making 100.000.000 credits or 1.000.000.000 Credits. NO! Fact is that this game lacks the atmosphere and unique gameplay of Privateer, the is in fact only a bad copy.

Easy money?:

Be friends with the Cosairs.
Go to their main base at Crete in Omichron Gamma.
Fly randon missions against the Bounty Hunters Guild.
Earn 140.000 a mission + stuff picked up, totally over 200.000 credits per run.

Tired of being hostile to the Guild?:
Find a freeport
Fly in and out untill a person in the bar offers to hack your reputation for 155.000 credits.

Sucks!

Poor game full stop.

I want more than 5 days gameplay. It's hardly an open ended game unless you consider doing the same old sh*t without any diversity open ended.

A waste of money really.

I really enjoyed it whilst it lasted but it didn't last more than five days and thats without looking for any help from the forums.

A shame really it had great potential but as usual failed to deliver.

Bah. 25 hours is decent playtime for any game. Besides, FL never claimed to be Privateer.

I still enjoy the game in multiplayer mode. But i agree with you. It's been a long time waiting (5 years?) to find out that two weeks is enough to get tired of it.
Well, not tired yet, but almost there.

My hope is that maybe, by design, this game can be easily expanded and new missions and stuff added. Because the game has an awesome potential. The engine is the very best i've seen. It seems like they had not enough time to fill it up with content.

I am surprised by the fact that there isn't any mission out of the story line. Something like a guy in a bar that has a special cargo to transport...something like privateer was.

In fact, the story line has a really boring design. It is completely game driven. You, as player, just do not trigger anything with your actions.

For instance, Juni could tell you that there is a planet called X somewhere where
you can find a girl named Y who has the answer to some questions, and then leave it up to the player to explore and find that planet, instead of take you there as a guided trip hitting F2 once and again to go to one and another waypoint and missing the real thing, that is exploring the unknown & making wealth.

Besides these details, this game still can be the best, if someone can make the
players feel like the universe is really unlimited.

I see Christ Roberts concept spread all over the game, and a great job from Digital Anvil, but someone did cut it down to fit the funds available. Many features are there, unfinished...what is the point of the 'Hail' action? And the target subsystem feature? they are nice, but should be usefull too. And so many other stuff...(radar, flight comp software like in privateer, missile time lock, cargo missions)... I hope they finish it with one or more patches.
