Here's a little question that might be a little on the clueless side (not to mention OT). I currently have the following load-out: 2 Tizona del Cids, 2 Nomad Blasters, and 2 ONYX cannons. All told they would do approximately 3600 hull damage and approximately 4200 shield damage (Tiz del Cid: 1200 shield each, and assuming 400 on nomads and 500 on onyx...not sure about those numbers yet though). Now here's my question: how does the computer handle all of the weapon's fire? Assuming that every beam from the initial volley hits that would pretty much kill anything in any system other than Rheinland and the Border Worlds. Since they all have the same speed they will all impact at the same time. Would the computer just say "Okay, too much firepower...shields are gone" and leave the hull intact or will it use whatever damage is leftover and roll that onto the hull damage? So far, in every encounter that I've had across the systems it has taken 5-6 barrages to kill off any ship.
Oh well, back OT: The Skyblast B's rely on a school of thought. Namely, "Spray-and-Pray" Sure, they do comparable damage per second to many of the class 10's that I've picked up...but that's if every shot hits. And, while I generally dislike the slower refire rate of the class 10's, the 4.00 of the nomad blaster is really nice. I recently replaced my trusty Skyblasts with the aforementioned blasters. So far I haven't been disappointed. Cheers.
