How often do you find Engine Components? Maybe you could time it credits per hour.

i'm a freelance pirate and i don't use route, i mostly go from base to base and destroy the transporters and freighters who cross my way, the goods i sell on the base and go to the next base...

if ur talking about smuggling route, take planet malta, omicron alpha to rochester base, new york... from malta with cardamine (don't worry about thus scanning cops, u go from outcast to junkers, so let the cops attack u (if u didn't attack them first ), the junkers don't worry about scanned cardamine or alien artifacts). the backway to malta u transport light arms.

It's not a pirate route, but Diamonds from Solaris Station to New Berlin.
A goood pirate run is Dromadary full of Cardamine from Mactan to Manhatten, use the hidden jump gate.

When I was getting the Red Hessians to like me and I was on thier base, they kept telling me about shipments that they get and from where. You might be able to go to one of the many back water bases and find out what gets shipped there, it is usually what they give a good price for, and sit back and wait for a transport. I am going to try it out pretty soon (in the next couple of days) and I will let everyone know how it went.
