Free Spirit in Gallileo?

while exploring in the Gallileo system, i found an abandoned ship in the astroid field named free spirit. Looking the info (the ? mark), it says it was smuggler's ship ambushed by bounty hunters, when i blow it up, it yields nothing. My question is that is that ship for anything special? or is it just like some satellite platform that serve no particular purpose?

must be another one of those wrecks that yeild nothing, plenty of them floating around

According to my list of wrecks I am compiling Freespirit in Galileo should drop Alien artifacts.

Was this an MP server? Perhaps someone got there before you?

Also try using only one weapon, not a whole salvo, you might end up destroying the cargo.
