Am I meant to become a blood dragon after mission 8

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Am I meant to become a blood dragon after mission 8

Hi, I've just done Mission 8. I'm level 16 and I've got about 750,000 credits. I have a Barracuda ship and have made most of my money by profitable trading. The trouble is after this mission, the Kusari hates me and I can't land at Planet New Tokyo or anything. Also all the shipping companies and police hate me (except bretonian police) and I get constantly attacked. What I'd like to know is whether this is meant to happen: ie am I meant to become a pirate after this mission. If it is then it is no problem, I'll just trade in TAU systems.

You should post this in the spoiler forum. In general, don't be too surprised by the way your factions move during the single player storyline. They move around a lot in response to what's going on in the story. Do NOT, whatever you do, waste very much time "fixing" your factions in SP.

So then I shouldn't worry that I am hurting with liberty rogues, junkers and oucasts/xenons pounding the snot out of me everywhere I go?

Cause it seems to be an issue, heh. I was about to go look for the bounty hunters guild, but seems I should just do with what I've got and make my way thru the story as I can to level up. That the case?

Well... I said don't waste "very much" time fixing factions. It IS possible right at the beginning to get the Liberty criminals off your back quickly if you're willing to do a little piracy and kill a few members of the local law enforcement and military. Killing Xenos would help without hurting your law enforcement factions, but this is a waste of time in my opinion during SP.

On the other hand, learning how to get away from lane hacking pirates is probably a good skill to develop. What fun is it if no one ever attacks you?

Moved to spoilers.

I personally, didn't like becoming a blood dragon too much.

But it was easy just to take missions in Kyoto, win a few, and then continue. (I have no idea why the Kusari Navy had so many fighters patrolling the area just to get blown up by me)
