Anyone been to the monkey and robot planets?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Anyone been to the monkey and robot planets?

A friend of mine stumbled on a system with just 2 planets. One with monkey men and the other robots. Anyone been there and know what the heck that is about? The jump is somewhere in omicon-gamma if I remember right.

Also: Where can I get good (non-hacked) C10 Shield?

Planet Crete for the C10 shield, i believe. And yes, i've been to the monkey and robot planet too. It's fairly amusing, although pointless.

The monkey and robot planets are located in the Unknown system off Omicron Gamma. The jumphole to the system is in the middle of the green cloud at the north-east of the map. Switch to "Minable Zones" and you'll see two zones in the cloud. The jumphole is about 10K directly to the north of those zones.

Although there's high radiation around the jumphole, once in the Unknown system there shouldn't be any, but you'll encounter 4 Nomads every few minutes.

For multiplayer there seems to be no special reason why visiting this system too long. Just get in there, fight some Nomads without beeing punished by radiation, take there weapons and get outta there. The monkeys and robots won't sell you anything, fix your ships or give you missions. That's what it seem to be so far.
One reason to land on a planet is, let Nomads come to you instead of searching for them. Every time I left a planet, no matter which one, they were waiting in space and attacked by the docking-ring cannons.

Maybe the monkeys might do, when you have friendly reputation with the Samura Ind... first time I visited Planet Primus the base was pointed as a Samura Base. Didn't check that out, yet.

i managed to persuade the monkeys to repair my ship though

but other than that there is nothing there, i've patrolled the bottom 4 rows of the map and there is NOTHING else...

Yes, you need lots of bananas.

The two planets has nothing to offer me, so far.
Perhaps it is due to Samura's Hostility to the little variation of the freelancer Trent that I created...
It doesn't seem to be an attractive place except for experiencing those ugly apes.
The robots haven't got ANYTHiNG to offer.
But the Nomads have those very nive C10 weapons with 0 energy use

A little bug/easter-egg:

There is a large star in the upper right corner of the system. It is very far away. If you have the patience you can go there. There is nothing there, but try ramming the star...
Nothing happens except you hitting the centre of that very large star.
Now all you can do is flying the 200K back, because the star can't kill you
Have a nice journey!

Friendly is a term, in which hate must exist...
