Ship purchase level req''s

So many lists and database tools out there... and yet the BIG pontification of the day is "what level do I have to be to buy certain ships"?

I finished SP mission 9 just now and I'm strapped into a Baracuda. At level 17 at this point I figure I should be able to buy a better ship, but every time I went out exploring in the past and actually found a better ship I couldn't buy it yet, it's kind of annoying.

Anyone have a list built up yet of the level req's to buy all the ships?

I'm just level 10 and trying to replace that f#$% up Crusader (it's like flying a cast iron tab).

any suggestions?

the crusader is actually a pretty decent ship at that level, you'll probably end up staying with it until level 13-14 when you can get the baracuda

Oh, and it's in mission 10 or 11 I think that you get the Anubis, a most welcome upgrade from the Baracuda.

While in Rheinland during mission 10 I wrote down the levels needed to buy the ships there:

Banshee (i think it was), costs 141K and level 20
Humpback, 170K and level 20
Valkyrie, 257K and level 24

Anyone have any others? Especially the Eagle, Saber, Titan, and Stiletto

I know the Sabre requires level 30 (the Eagle maybe a bit less, and the Titan a bit more) but that's the base requirement. Also at Falkland base in the Omega-7 system (it's a Bounty Hunter base along the trade lanes) you can get a Hammerhead, pretty decent $300,000 VHF that can take Class 9 weapons and shields.

Not exactly, but I'm fairly certain I was far from level 25 when I got it. I was still poking around in Banshee with not too much cash on hand. Actually, this was the first time I had some money, so I took it upon me to explore more systems. That's how I stumbled on the Hammerhead.
