~~~~~~~Simply but time-saving(saving the time of 80) + quest
If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!
~~~~~~~Simply but time-saving(saving the time of 80) + quest

when you dock with the lane,do you find that it waste tons of time?
So, i use another method to dock(not just press F3)
1:press f3 with the lane you wanna to dock with( at least 1k away)
2:when the ship had aim at the lane, press free flight
3:now you are flying at the speed of 300
4:wait...until the distance become about 50m,or the 4 rings had come to the edge of the screen
5:press F3 again

now, you will no more waste time at the speed of 80~~

this method also sutible to the jump hole/gate, docking ring
only dock is not quite useful

maybe it's stupid but I thing it's useful
anyone use this??

Question:
I was transporting the 250 Artifacts to PLanet New Berlin from Leon...
when I near to the dock ring, the Rheinland Police check and cargo...
and he said that it's illegal and ask me to drop it!
I refuse, and all the guns near the PLanet New Berlin shoot at me(about sector 4F)
However, my reputation with the Rhineland Police still at the top, and the police at the other place,even at the same Berlin system are all friendly to me,only New Berlin's police,stations,lane....shooting at me and can't dock!
I had tried all the way to slove it,but fail...
the method including go to another system get back....

Can any good good guy help me??

There's only one way to avoid this.. Wait until there's no one to scan your cargo around the dock or hurry up and get to the dock before they can go hostile. The way the game works, once one non-criminal ship goes hostile, every non-criminal in the area goes hostile.

i see i see...
but the question for now is, how can they turn to friendly again?
what should I do?

I been free docking the lanes for a long time now....

I had a jumpgate go hostile after being scanned....

I think IC (Interspace Commerce) is in charge of the lanes/gates and you can bribe someone there, but when the server reset it wasn't hostile anymore so I never got a chance to see if I could bribe anyone. But a Zoner mentioned to me that I needed to make a payment to IC if i got caught taking artifacts out of the borderworlds, so who knows, might be worth a try if it happens again.

I've also used the method you describe for saving time (it's especially useful when you're fleeing from a fight, since the automated docking can be lethal then)

Exit the server and come back in if a M/P game.

You make docking sound so complicated. Just target the thing, get your cruise on if its over 2 k away (if you are close you might as well just afterburner up to it) Aim for the part of the tradelane that is green, once you are basically point blank hit your dock button. I suggest practicing till you instantaneously go into it. If nothing else its something to amuse yourself with while you are still just trading. WIth the jump gates, as long as they aren't active or the pattern is full, you can basically go about 2 meters into the forward hole before you hit dock and you''ll go into the cinematic instantly. Another trick that sometimes works is if the pattern is full at a jump gate, just select the people ahead of you in line nad hit the formation key. This will let you dock with them instead of waiting for after. Warning on that though its been known to cause some problems, like missing the gate completely, turning off your dock, forcing you to make a second approatch.

Oh you can also quick dock with the planet rings. I've got it down to where if you select the rigns then the instant you get past the claws and inside the ring hit dock you go in without waiting for the arms to even open. Might practice this one if you aren't confident, running into planets isn't fun. Even if the pattern is full, its usually better to go ahead and wait till you are inside the rings to hit dock, ti'll stop you right there, and as soon as the other person "enters" them you'll start up the docking cinematic and make it in.

You can use shipping lane to another base in same system, dock with it, then undock and go back, they should be green again. Also heard rumor that when they say they are going to scan you, quick jettison your cargo, then after they give you the all clear, just beam it back in. Have not tried this personally, so is still rumor to me.
