What''s with all the censoring

I'd just like to ask why so many discussions are locked without any explanation?

There is no hint on this site that the sys admin is only going to allow discussion when he agrees with the views of the poster. Yet that appears to be what is happening (at least) in the Freelancer Discussion area.

I understand that this site is based in the US - a country that triumphs it's "Free Speech" to the rest of the world. Yet here, we have an example of a US citizen not allowing that. What are you afraid of? Why is wrong to disagree with your view?

First, the site is based in Denmark
And second, I'm not a moderator but I'm hanging around here elong enough to answer your question.

Whenever a moderator or Bargib closes a topic he has a valid reason. Whether it is because spamming (posting useless replies), a flame war is beginning (we saw that the last couple of days) or someone is bashing Freelancer and in the meanwhile advertising an other spacegame (this is an Freelancer based fansite, not some other game). Sometimes they click becuase it's just dead and thus preventing spamming.

If you feel that a topic has been wrongly clicked.. Feel free to mail Bargib!

Thanks Wiz, always on top of things.

If I might add, there two things to keep in mind. One is read the FAQ section on forum posting to explain some of our policies aobut posting to the forums. And two, we're governed by this stamp of approval which we take great pride in. On the splash page of this site this info is linked.

Well done Wizard.
