"It's outta-sight bayybeee!"
background music, i don't like; unless its a streaming station/multiple tracks/ and off by default. (embedding a single song on a page is so 1998)
how about FL-character avatars for the ranking system? i have a bunch of costume pictures (3 per faction) i would be glad to donate for use. also, i have a collection of the House flags\logos for reference - maybe we could use these to make cleaner-looking icons for nationality like other forums use regular flags?

FlyByU my friend,
Apparently you haven't notice or maybe you have but you can sort the downloads by clicking on
Date, Filename, Category and DL's
and they will sort themselves...

I like the new look, especially the background wallpaper. It really adds something, and juxtaposes well with the forums, etc. Good work guys!
Fly - Star Trek Legacy? According the many reviews that I have read, that game performs poorly, contains a poor control scheme and possesses a number of critical flaws (i.e. bugs). Thus, it probably wouldn't be a good game to support. Unless of course, the reviews are wrong...?
EDIT: Actually, I do have a suggestion. I actually missed this thread because I am so used to seeing pinned topics at the top of the forums, and there is no differentiation between pinned topics when a new post has been made (at least, not that I can see). That is to say that the folder icon remains read, which requires a user to examine the date and time in order to determine if a new post has been made.
A new post in a normal thread utilises a blue asterisk to indicate a new post and, although difficult to see, indicates a thread that should be examined for new content. I would suggest adding something like that for pinned topics as well, such as a diagonal blue stripe or a green pinned folder icon (or something), that would stand out and allow users to check for new posts at a glance. Indeed, perhaps a new colour scheme could be used. The existing yellow folder icons for unmodified topics, blue folder icons for normal threads with new posts and green pinned folder icons for pinned topics with new replies. Anyway, I'm sure that you will come up with something, however the above is something that I have always noticed on the forums and would like to see modified (if possible).

What I mean is clicking on a Category and only D/Ls in that Category will only show up. Say a button for Add-ons, Patches, Editing, Misc, General MOD, and so on. If that would be too much work, do not worry about it. Right now, the list is getting very large and I was just trying to simplify the Categories.
However the site is looking great keep up the good work Lancers!

Ok I have gone through and cleaned up the BBCodes a bit on this forum and added two new ones.
Bold: This is a test.
Italic: This is a test.
Underline (New!!): <span style="text-decoration: underline">This is a test.</span>
Centered (New!!): <center>This is a test.</center>
URL (http://): This is a test.
URL (freelancer://): This is a test.
IMG: Code: <pre><font size=1 face=Courier>This is a test.</font></pre>

List (New!!):
<ul>
<li>This is a test.</li>
<li>This is a test.</li>
</ul>
I've removed extra spaces that were added when you tried to re-edit your post and I updated the URL tag to support the freelancer:// format that my Freelancer Web Launcher uses to run the game directly from a webpage link.
I have also fixed a couple other minor errors in the forum code.
<span style="text-decoration: underline">If anyone experiences anything weird that you might think is BBCode related then let me know so I can fix it!</span>
