Homepage Link Difficulties

Is it just me or are all the lniks on the frontpage really buggy? every time i open up TLR i have to manually type in all the addresses so i can bypass the frontpage. evey time i click a link it just freeses the browser and i have to terminate the browser process. Tried this on both of my computer with the same result.

So, is this just me?

Not sure but I don't have that problem and no one else has mentioned that...

Scanned for spyware lately Arania? That's the first thing that comes to mind .

yep, checked on a routine basis, and i tried this on both my desktop computer and my notebook with the same results (XP home and Pro respectivley, both kept up-to-date), ive tried rebooting them, ive tried rebooting the router to refresh dynamic IP, the only thing i havent tried is installing another browser, which is pointless, because its two different computers anyway.

*rolls Chips' eyes back*

I use IE, but I could check it with firefox as well.
As soon as I click any link on the front page the browser freezes.

IE has been doing it a lot lately for me, but not just TLR. If I close it and open a new window, it's fine. Firefox is fine as well.

And quit rolling those eyes, your making me dizzy.

Using IE? Still? *Shakes head sadly* When will people learn?

Post Fri Sep 23, 2005 5:40 pm

Well, actually, IE (sorry guys) freezes for a coupleof seconds when I open it (homepage set to TLR). I think this is because of my virusscanner (Kasperzky). Just a couple of seconds, runs fine after that.

How about its the vid on the front page requiring a plug in for quicktime? IE is bad, use mozilla or opera - whatever.

*Wizard edited this: correct Chips, plug-in takes time to load. Tnx for that*

*opens mozilla for a test*
*glares at the TLR's automated response server* (thats you chips)

Yea it seems to be IE related...but the question still reamains...WHY?
It only happens with TLR, no other sites.

Have you got Quicktime plugin on yours? Is it enabled, or has the Active X component been blocked due to SP2? (which blocks certain active X components).
