What's ESC supposed to do?
nothing happens when I press escape. esp not to the text in the boxz.
The reason for that button is clear...it is to clear what you have typed if you dont want it anymore. Why should it be removed just because some people dont read before they click? I've seen more than one explanation for it in this thread, maybe you should read it again?
as you can see there is at least one user using that button. Just because you dont use it, it doesnt mean that noone else uses it and its useless.
Besides...you've been here for how long now and suddenly it bothers you...
