is TLR going to have halo/halo 2 forums anytime soon? ive noticed that the ds/ds2 forums arent doing that hot, but there are probably a bunch of halo fans here including me.
On the first note, DS 2 isn't out yet, so the intrest has not had a chance yet, and hopefully as modding intrest in the game developes, it will grow that way as well. Halo was talked about, but nothing definate, and, we would need the PC version of it as well. The first one hs a few mods, but, a different painted warthog hasn't piked my intrest yet.
Yes, people have. But it would be very difficult to get it on the internet, avaliable for download, and then enable it to be easily put into an XBOX. Not easy, which is why, unfortunatly, online mods for console games won't work that well.
Still, I am all for a Halo forum. I love Halo, and being able to talk about it on TLR would be cool. Also, what about some non-MS games? KOTOR would be a good one, IMO. It is a very good game and would not attract the /337 doodz like Halo might. But, there are many other forums that people discuss Halo at. As long as we don't advertise that a ton, we shouldn't get too many idiots.

In other words, do we need a group of (mostly) rabid fanboys setting up shop here at TLR ? Probably not, but it'll happen anyway ...
haha, yea, i think i'm all the Halo 2 that TLR needs. most halo/halo 2 fans from other sites (the only remaining sites of thier kind) are full of n00bs (yes the ass-hoile kind) and flamers. not a nice group in general
Esquilax..., Hear Hear...(no offense intended to anyone here ) they both have valid opinions
Flaming achieves little except grief, and while noobs are a way of life, we were all noobs once... I think a Halo forum would be good and from what I have seen Halo is very moddable
I guess I am stating the obvious.. but thats what moderators do... we try to keep the flaming down..where possible..it can make us very unpopular....
We can but try..

I think VOR was saying that although we're more-or-less free to express our opinions, it really doesn't matter. We - the posters - benefit from the services offered by the admins and moderators here but ultimately we can't change things if we don't like them. So if Wolfy decides he doesn't want Halo forums but Eraser and BP go for it anyway there really isn't much Wolfy can do about it. I'm not saying that's bad or unreasonable either.
As far as the n00bs that would arrive are concerned, I think we just have to be hostile to the stupid ones. A bit of controlled flaming here and there will help us get rid of the people we don't want. I actually have a whole set of forest fire analogies I could use but I'll bet no-one cares enough to listen. Whatever.
